• Safe workplace – All Serious Stuff staff members and those employed by our factories all work in a safe environment.

     

    • Worker rights – All employees are treated with respect and compassion and their workers rights are fully respected.

     

    • Living wages – All of our staff and the individuals who are employed in our supply chain are all paid a living wage.

     

    • Work life balance – This is important to our company and all of our staff have a healthy work life balance.

     

    • No child labour – All employees connected in any way to our supply chain are of a legal age to work.

     

    • No excessive hours – All of our staff and factory employees work within the safe national guidelines. We do not require workers to work more than the regular and overtime hours allowed by the law of the country where the workers are employed. The regular work week does not exceed 48 hours. All overtime work is consensual and paid at a premium rate. Other than in exceptional circumstances, the sum of regular and overtime hours in a week shall not exceed 60 hours.

     

    • Freely chosen – All employment is freely chosen.

     

    • Freedom of association – All employees have freedom to join any bodies or trade unions of their choice. We fully recognise and respect the right of employees to freedom of association and collective bargaining.

     

    • No discrimination – No person in our supply chain is subject to any discrimination in employment, including hiring, compensation, advancement, discipline, termination or retirement, on the  basis of gender, race, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, political opinion, social group or ethnic origin.

     

    • No harsh or inhumane treatment – All staff are treated with the utmost respect and compassion.

     

    • SUP reduction – We do everything in our power to minimise the use of plastics. 95% of our garments are made from recycled plastic. We encourage bulk packaging and all of our plastic bags are made from re-cycled plastic and are bio degradable.

     

    • Fabric sourcing – We have an entire Eco range of fabrics and the vast majority of our clients have moved over to our eco range of garments which is made from re-cycled plastics.

     

    • SEDEX accredited – Whilst Serious Stuff is not SEDEX accredited, our primary partner factory is a supplier member of the SEDEX for sharing ethical data within our supply chain.

     

    • Ethical trading initiative – All of the employees at our factories are fully insured, paid a living wage, work no more than 48 hours a week unless they choose to but always within safety guidelines.

     

    • Recycled polyester – 95% of our garments are all made from re-cycled plastic.

     

    • Sustainable cotton – We have only two cotton products currently and we are working towards sourcing sustainable cotton for these garments.

     

    • Carbon neutral – We are striving to become a carbon neutral business but still have some work to do before realising that ambition.

     

    • Clean water – Not applicable as we do not use water in our manufacturing process.
